Perth & Kinross Council Draft Gaelic Language Plan
Under the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 Perth &
Kinross Council were notified by Bòrd na Gàidhlig on
behalf of the Scottish Government of their legal obligation to
produce a Gaelic Language Plan which seeks to demonstrate the
Council?s commitment to Gaelic and increase awareness and usage of
the language.
Public Consultation
Perth & Kinross Council held a public consultation for six
weeks from Friday 17 February 2012 until Friday 30 March 2012
seeking the views of the community on the first
Gaelic Language Plan [pdf: 1MB] for the area.
Public meetings took place at the following
venues:
- Tuesday 6 March 2012, Glenearn Community Campus, Glenearn Road,
Perth
- Wednesday 7 March 2012, Breadalbane Community Campus, Crieff
Road, Aberfeldy
- Tuesday 13 March 2012, Strathearn Community Campus, Pittenzie
Road, Crieff
- Thursday 15 March 2012, Blairgowrie Community Campus, Elm
Drive, Blairgowrie
