Archive collections
Our collections range from municipal and other official records
to collections created by individuals, businesses and
organisations, all of them relevant to the history and development
of the region.
There are several ways you can find information about the
collections:
 |
Online catalogue
You can now search our online catalogue which
contains descriptions of the council and community collections held
by P&KC Archive
|
 |
Guides
Basic guides to the collections for all users |
 |
Themed summaries
These summaries have been compiled from our community collections -
collections created by local people, organisations and communities.
They have been organised within popular themes, and their content
summarised |
|
Council summaries
The Council collections span over 800 years, created by the
different predecessors of Perth & Kinross Council. These
summaries provide an outline of the scope and content of each |
|
Topics online
Volunteers from the Friends of P&KC Archive have been working
on creating electronic finding aids in the form of databases and
downloadable .pdf's. These are on specific topics
and can be searched for specific names and information |
 |
Beyond the Archive
There are several individuals and other organisations
which have gathered information about our collections. This page
offers links to external catalogues, indexes and databases that
relate to collections held by us |
Please be aware that some documents may not be available for
consultation. This may be because the information is confidential,
because of restrictions placed by depositors on their collections,
or because the item is too fragile.
