Extracts from Report of Householders, their families etc, in Old Blair, April 24th, 1841

 2  Mrs Macintyre  Poor, advanced in years & unable to pay a rent.  Widow of the late keeper McIntyre 
   Anne Fleming  Poor & advanced in years, Sister to Mrs Macintyre
 3  Mrs Cameron  Poor, old and unable to pay a rent; Employed at Farm outwork.  Widow of the late John Cameron, who for some years previous to his death, had charge of the Woods.
  Duncan Cameron  Removing to the Low Country at Whitsunday       
Geo: McPherson  Labourer, under Gardener
4 Mrs Manson Poor, old and infirm, unable to pay rent.  Widow of the ate Donald Manson, who was for 23 years employed in Blair Gardens.
Jean do. Daughter of preceding; Employed at Farm out Work
5 Mrs Gow  Poor, Widow of the late Donald Gow, who was for many years a labourer on this property.
Jessie Gow  Natural daughter of Donald Gow, about 13 years of age, at Mrs McGlashan's school
6 Cirsty Ritchie  Employed in Garden, her father, who died twenty years ago, was sometime cowherd to the late Duke
Jean Stewart  Natural daughter of preceding. Employed at Farm out Work
10 Donald Donaldson  Aged 102 years
James do.  Asthmatic, and in consequence unable to work, has horse and cart  carrying materials to Mason, but employs a man to drive it
Mary do.  Nurses her Father
11 Mrs McGlashan Schoolmistress - Allowed a free house for keeping school
Mrs McDermid  Sister to the late -- Macmillan, keeper for many years to the late Duke of Atholl, wishes two rooms in the New Buildings and possesses considerable means.
