Newly catalogued collections
Fully arranged, listed and newly available is the small collection, MS285 Tulloch Angling Club records which contain information about the club and the competitions they took part in between 1889-1956.
Other additions to the miscellaneous MS14 collection include 'Origins of the Public Library Movement with Special Reference to Perth' and 'Scottish Wills 17th century, District of Auchterarder Perthshire' which is a transcript of condensed testaments taken from Commissariot Court records. There's also a bound collection of copied documents, 'Kinclaven Bridge over the River Tay at Meikleour' which charts the bridge's construction by consulting engineering firm, Formans and McCall. Finally, we've added a transcription edited by Mary Lutyens of 'Effie Ruskin's Letters from Venice 1849-1852' which form part of the Bowerswell Papers in the Pierpont Library, New York

Projects
Source Lists
The Friends are involved in projects aimed at making the Archive's collections more accessible. To this end, several of the Friends volunteers are creating Source Lists. These are databases that list material from different collections into one theme or subject, helping users to quickly find the kind of material they need.
The databases are searchable and can be consulted in the Archive search room. They include:
-
Perth Burgh Burial Registers, 1794-1855
-
Sources on Women
-
Migration
-
World War I
-
World War II
-
Maritime: shipping, trade and the River Tay
-
Perthshire Militia, 1750-1868 NEW
You can also search online the Perth Burgh Burial Registers, 1794-1855 and Sources on Women databases
