Reproduction and copyright

We can sometimes reproduce documents for you, but you need to be aware of copyright legislation
  • You may have records copied only for personal study or educational use and they may not be further reproduced without the express permission of the Archivist and/or the copyright owner
  • If you require copies for any other purpose, it is your responsibility to first get the permission of the copyright owner. This may not be Perth & Kinross Council Archive
  • It is your responsibility to ensure conformity with the terms of the Copyright Design and Patents Act 1988 and current EU copyright directives

If you would like a document copied, the archive staff may be able to photocopy it for you. The current cost for black and white photocopies is 20p per A4 sheet  and 40p per A3 sheet. Colour copying can be arranged. There is a minimum charge of £1 for postal photocopying orders.

No flash photography is allowed. Cameras may only be used at the discretion of Archive staff, and only if the appropriate copyright declaration has been completed.

Please bear in mind that some documents cannot be copied due to their size, condition, copyright or depositor restrictions
