Research services
This service only applies to our own collections - we do not carry
out research if it involves collections belonging to other archives
and institutions.
A complex or specific enquiry requiring research that takes longer
than half an hour will incur a charge.
The current fee for the enquiry service is £26.25 per hour
or part of an hour. This includes postage and administration
charges. There are extra charges if large amounts of
photocopying are required.
When we complete the research, we will send you a report which
will include necessary photocopies, a summary of the records
consulted and suggestions for future research, either
in P&KC Archive or elsewhere.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we will be able to answer
any or all of your questions. The nature of archives is such that
records may simply not have survived the years or will not always
contain the information that you need.
Complete and send us the research request form, telling
us precisely what you wish to find out and how long you want
us to spend on the research.
