Indenture between the burgh of Perth and Richard Eviott of Balloussie concerning the 'but of Balloussie' and the burgh's water supply, outlining who is responsible for building the pipe and for repairs

This endentur maid at p[er]th the nynten day of the moneth of June the year of oure lord a thousand fourhundreth sexti and four yeirs p[er]portis and bers witnes betwix the Alderma[n] baillies Consuale and co[muni]te of the burgh of p[er]th for thai[m] and thair successours on the en p[ar]t and Richard evot of balloussy for him his airs and thair assignais on the toth[er] p[ar]t, at the saidis perties nu fuillely appontit and accordit anente the but of ballousy In forms and man[ner] eftir followande that is to say, the said but salbe tane up and new maide of therttytwa Inche pf widneiss w[i]t[h]in at baith the ends and bandit with ir[o]n baith w[i]t[h]in and without at baith the ends And laid levan in a wale of stane maid thairfor, be the sich[t] of twlf p[er]sonis that is to saysex of the toun and sex of his f[re]nds be the aviss of thai[m] And quhen the watt[er] breks out, or to the Rid of the lade the said Richard sall send two men with the multrare of the toun the quhilk salbe for the tyme ains in the yeir to the Inlaying of the watt[er] or the Riddin of the laids and thir appontments & co[n]diconis betwix the saidis p[ar]tes befo writ[ten] to be obs[er]vit fulfillit & kiptt for evi[r] mair but ony obstakil questione i[m]pedimet cavillac[i]one fraud or gile In witness herof til this p[ar]t Ramanand w[i]t[h] the saids ald[er]ma[n] baillies consuale & co[muni]te of the said burgh and their successors the sele of the said Richard is appe[n]sit And to the p[ar]t Ramanand with the said Richard his aires and thair assignais the co[m]mon sele of the siad burgh is appe[n]sit day yeir & place forsaide
