The Word's Out! Picture Book Prize
The Word's Out! Picture Book Prize is now in its 7th year.
This prestigious prize of a Quaich is awarded annually to an
outstanding Picture book chosen by children and adults in Perth and
Kinross. Last year's winning author and illustrator was Rob
Scotton for his book "Love Splat!"
Six Picture books are on the short-list for the prize this year:
What the ladybird heard by Julia Donaldson,
Finn throws a fit by David Elliot,
Milo
Armadillo by Jan Fearnley,
Dogs by Emily
Gravett,
Not last night but the night
before by Colin McNaughton,
Shark in the
dark by Nick Sharratt.
A selection of local nurseries, primary one classes and under-five
groups will be busy choosing the winner in the next few
weeks.
