West Mill Street Library in Perth city centre caters
specifically for disabled, frail and elderly people.
The
WRVS Books on Wheels service is delivered from
here to people at home within Perth city and surrounding
areas.
Accessible Library
There are disabled parking bays outside the library and the
entrance has an automatic door direct at pavement level. The
library is all on one level and the shelf and counter heights are
suitable for wheelchair users.
There are accessible toilet facilities and a hearing loop system.

What we can offer you
Available to borrow
The library has an extensive stock of large
print and audio books. Audio books
are either as cassettes or CDs. Family stories,
romances, westerns, crime stories, biographies, travel and
history books are all in stock. Music CDs, DVDs and videos are also
available.
People's Network Computer Access
There are two computers available which give
free access to the internet and other word processing packages.
One computer has accessible software added to provide
screen magnification and speech output for people with visual
impairment. A trackerball and keyboard with big keys are
also available. Sessions can be booked up to five days in
advance.
