Your Local Library
Welcome to the Library and Lifelong Learning Service for
everyone who lives, works, studies or visits Perth and
Kinross.
Our main library is the
AK Bell in Perth and there are 13 community libraries
throughout Perth and Kinross,
open at various times during the week:
We offer thousands of books from the classics to comics, from
fact to fiction, for adults and
children. Whatever your age or taste, you can
borrow books,
CDs, videos and DVDs.
Why don't you try out our computer games or
use the internet for free? You can bring the children along for
story telling or use our quiet areas to
study, to read a newspaper, or to
research your family tree. If you can't get to one of our
libraries, you can
reserve and renew your books online. Or we can visit you with
our
libraries without limits or
mobile services. You can also choose to buy one of our
library publications.
No one is too young to
join and it's free. You can borrow books at no cost, though
there's a small
charge for other media or if you're late returning
something.
Whatever you need from your library, whether for pleasure,
learning, culture or knowledge, we are here to welcome and help
you.
