Ancestry Workshops Video
The winners of the Perth & Kinross Council
Securing the Future Awards 2011 were recently announced at
Perth Concert Hall.
The
Ancestry Workshops project was a Silver Award
Winner in Category 1 (Customer Focus).
The workshops have given a basic introduction to family history
research and resources available through the library service and
the opportunity to use basic computing skills supported by the
Adult Learning Team. As a community based adult learning
opportunity this developed into a four week short course and
between July 2009 and January 2011, 28 learners were introduced to
family history research.
