Atonement
On the hottest day of the summer of 1935, thirteen-year-old
Briony Tallis sees her older sister Cecilia (Kiera Knightley) strip
off her clothes and plunge into the fountain in the garden of their
country house. Watching Cecilia is their housekeeper's son Robbie
Turner (James McAvoy), a childhood friend who, along with Briony's
sister, has recently graduated from Cambridge. By the end of that
day the lives of all three will have been changed forever.
Michael
Clayton
Michael Clayton (George Clooney) is what is known in the legal
world as a 'fixer', or in the character's own pejorative version, a
'janitor' who cleans up legal messes for VIPs and corporations on
behalf of a prestigious New York City law firm.
3:10 to Yuma
James Mangold directs this remake of the classic Western film.
Christian Bale stars as a sheriff who vows to bring a killer
(Academy Award winner Russell Crowe) to justice, but it won't be
easy to put the criminal on the train to Yuma.
Sicko
America 's most incendiary filmmaker, Michael Moore, interviews
a series of individuals and families who have had their lives all
but destroyed by the denial of health care in the service of
profit. Moore smartly allows this and other stories to be told with
little or no interference, conjuring strong feelings of empathy,
rage, and deep sadness.
Tell no-one
Eight years after his wife's brutal murder, paediatrician
Alexandre Beck receives an unsettling email from an anonymous
sender. The message contains a link to a video--shot in
real-time--of a woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to his
deceased wife. Based on the best-selling novel by Harlan
Coben.
The Hoax
Richard Gere gives one of the best performances of his career in
THE HOAX, based on true events. Gere stars as Clifford Irving, a
struggling writer desperate to be a famous bestselling author.
After his novel gets rejected, he concocts a crazy plot in which he
convinces McGraw-Hill that he has been contacted by Howard Hughes
in order to tell the official life story of the reclusive
billionaire and he attempts to get away with one of the greatest
literary hoaxes of the 20th century.

Eels - Meet the
Eels
Spanning ten years of music, 'Meet The Eels 1996-2006' documents
a band that has crossed many barriers of alternative music and
remained significant and original throughout.
Katherine Jenkins -
Rejoice
Jenkins manages to slide gently and mellifluously into the world
of popular music, retaining her trademark operatic vocal style and
smooth, unruffled coherence throughout.
Duffy
- Rockferry
'Rockferry' is the debut album from Welsh singer Duffy. The
album is a stunning showcase for her voice, which brings to mind
such great singers as Dusty Springfield, Lulu and Sandie Shaw.
Includes the singles 'Rockferry' and 'Mercy'.
Killers
- Sawdust
Collection of B-sides and rarities from Las Vegas indierock
quartet The Killers. A compilation of tracks from soundtracks and
single releases, as well as previously unreleased material from the
'Sam's Town' and 'Hot Fuss' sessions.
Adele
- 19
In a vocal and style reminiscent of Amy Winehouse, Etta James
and Ella Fitzgerald this is an album that easily justifies the
comparisons. Smoky, lingering vocals lament tales of lost love and
heartbreak whilst retaining a positive charm. Features the singles
'Chasing Pavements' and 'Hometown Glory'.
Ryan Bingham
- Mescalito
A gem from Lost Highway Records. If you like Steve Earle, Joe
Ely and co., you will love this record. Outstanding songs and
outstanding guitar.
