How we collect

The collections at Alyth Museum have been developed over many years. They form part of the entire collection of Perth and Kinross Council's Heritage Service which has been officially designated a Recognised Collection of National Significance to Scotland.
Additions are regulated by a Collecting Policy. This is reviewed and approved by Perth & Kinross Council every five years.
We add to the collections by gift, bequest and purchase.
