About Margaret Morris
|

|
Margaret Morris (1891-1980) was an accomplished dancer,
choreographer, movement therapist, artist, costume designer and
writer. 100 years ago, she developed her own dance training system,
Margaret Morris Movement (MMM), and aged just 19, opened her own
school to train dancers in MMM. Her system of movements and
exercises continues to be used to this day with classes across the
world.
In 1913, she met and fell in love with the Scottish Colourist
painter and sculptor JD Fergusson, a relationship which was
creatively fruitful for them both and endured until his death in
1961.
