What we Collect
Last updated | 11/07/2011
We collect material associated with the Scottish
colourist artist John Duncan Fergusson
(1874-1961).
The Fergusson Gallery holds the largest single collection of work
by J D Fergusson in existence. This forms part of the entire
collection of Perth and Kinross Council's Heritage Service which
has been designated a Recognised Collection of National
Significance to Scotland.
We are interested in material that has
additional information about its history.
We are especially interested in material which
is connected with people with whom Fergusson was associated
artistically. This includes his lifelong partner, Margaret Morris
(1890-1981), and artists linked to the New Scottish
Group.
Copyright, in respect of any work created by J D
Fergusson, is administered by on behalf of the copyright
holder in Fergusson's work, Perth & Kinross Council.
Our
Collecting Policy (pdf
500kb) regulates what we do and don't collect.
This is
reviewed and approved by Perth &
Kinross Council every five years.
If you an item which you think we might
be interested in adding to the collections please
