Art Cart
The Fergusson Gallery presents the Art Cart, a fun and new educational activity for all!
What is the Art Cart?
The Art Cart is for you to touch and explore. Look around it, inside and out. Feel the panels of glass, brass, wood and paint. Open the drawers and discover the objects. The Art Cart contains a wide range of art materials, including oil pastels, charcoal, crayons, pencils, pens, modelling clay and a variety of papers to draw on and use for collage.
We hope it inspires you to think about how an artist creates a piece of artwork and encourages you to take a closer look at Fergusson's work and choice of materials.
The Art Cart was beautifully crafted in Scottish hardwoods by The Workshop of Tim Stead. They continue the legacy of furniture designer, wood sculptor and conservationist, Tim Stead MBE (1952-2000).
Using the Art Cart
The Art Cart is located in Gallery 2 at the rear of the building and is available for use by everyone during opening hours.
The Fergusson Gallery welcomes all school classes and community groups who wish to use the Art Cart for an educational workshop. We have an Art Cart Pack for Visiting Groups packed full with fun activities, which will help you direct a workshop in the Gallery. If you would be interested in running a workshop or would like to find out more please contact The Fergusson Gallery.
