The story of Perthshire glass production from the earliest
manufacture of glass at the Perth Ink Manufactory to
present day production.
The display explores the extraordinary versatility of glass, the range of shapes, colours and textures employed by local glass manufacturers and individual makers in their craft.
The firms and individuals were no less colourful in their takeovers and changes.
The contributions made to the Perthshire glass industry by John Moncrieff and the Ysart family, Strathearn, Stuart Strathearn, Perthshire paperweights and Caithness Glass are memorable in an industry that still exists, to a smaller extent, to this day.
