Perth Museum and Art Gallery
Closure Information
The Perth Museum will be closed for refurbishment from
Saturday 24th December at 4pm until March 5th 2012. We will reopen
with exciting new displays on the Carpow logboat, Four Seasons in
One Day and another chance to see Tai to Tay.
We are one of the oldest museums in the UK with more
than half a million objects
Our Collections are large and
varied. They have been officially designated as a
Recognised Collection of National Significance to
Scotland.
They cover History, Natural History and Art and include local
and foreign material.
Exhibitions and Events. Our permanent displays
explore the artistic, social and natural history of Perth &
Kinross district.
Regularly changing exhibitions cater for all tastes and age
groups.
Activities and Events are scheduled through the year.
Selected Past Exhibitions We have a selection of
exhibitions no longer on display which are available for viewing as
PDF files.
Schools and Community We provide talks and
demonstrations on a variety of subjects for schools, groups
and clubs. We also welcome enquiries from students and visitors of
all ages.
