Childcare Network
Perth and Kinross Childcare Network is an independent forum for Childcare Providers and others working with Children and Young People in the voluntary, private and public sectors.
The Network offers an opportunity to discuss current and emerging policy and practice, to share information, ideas and increase collaborative working across the sector through improved understanding of everyone?s roles and responsibilities.
The Network will also help inform local childcare strategy and related policies, acting as a bridge between strategic planners and frontline services.
How does the Network work?
The Network is an independent organisation which works in partnership with the Perth and Kinross Childcare Strategy. The Network meets bi-monthly and welcomes new members who have an interest in childcare or supporting children and their families.
The Network also host Perth and Kinross Childcare Forum events. These events take place two or three times a year and enable frontline childcare staff to come together for information sharing, informal training and the opportunity to engage in consultation activities.
Once every two years the Network, in partnership with Perth and Kinross Council's Childcare Strategy Team, will hold a conference looking at current issues in the Childcare sector and the impact on local services. The conferences will present an exciting opportunity to bring together nationally acknowledged experts, theorists and local staff to discuss and debate how best to meet the needs of children and their families in local communities.
How can I get involved?

Meetings of the Perth and Kinross Childcare Network take place bi-monthly in the Community Wing, Perth Grammar School. The meetings alternate between morning and afternoon with a lunch provided before or after the meeting to facilitate more informal networking.
A crèche can be provided to enable attendance at Network Meetings, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
