Out of School Care
What is Out of School Care?
Out of School Clubs offer childcare after school hours during term time, usually until 6:00 pm. Some clubs also run on In- Service days, during school holidays and before school. Most clubs are based in school premises and cater for children from Primary One to their second year at Secondary school.

There are currently 31 Out of School Clubs throughout the Perth & Kinross geographic area, from Pitlochry in the North to Cleish in the South ; Invergowrie in the East to Blackford in the West.

HIGHLAND PERTHSHIRE AREA - Dunkeld, Pitlochry
KINROSS AREA - Cleish, Fossoway, Kinross, Milnathort
PERTH CITY - Caledonian Road, Craigie/Moncreiffe, Goodlyburn, Kinnoull, Letham, North Muirton, Oakbank, St John's, Viewlands
PERTH AREA - Abernethy, Bridge of Earn, Forgandenny, Luncarty, Scone
STRATHEARN AREA - Auchterarder, Blackford, Crieff, Comrie, St Dominic's
Perth & Kinross Council manages 23 Kids Clubs and two Wraparound Services through the Early Education and Childcare Strategy Team. The remaining clubs are run independently, managed by voluntary management committees of interested parents and carers.
All out of school clubs are registered with the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care, who inspect and monitor provision to ensure that national standards are met. See the Care Commission website for copies of Inspection Reports and more information on the regulation process.

The service holds detailed information on all clubs including opening times, vacancies, costs and contacts for registration and booking.
Childminders and some Private Nurseries also offer Out of School Hours Childcare. The Childcare Information Service can give you details of options in your local area.
