Parental Involvement Strategy

The Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006 set out the legal requirements for the establishment for Parent Councils.  It also includes a legal duty for all Local Authorities to produce a Parental Involvement Strategy.

The Lifelong Learning Committee of Perth and Kinross Council approved the Parental Involvement Strategy[pdf 2.3MB] and Parents as Partners Leaflet [pdf 2.7MB] for parents which complements the full strategy document.

These set out the Council's policy to support effective parental involvement in Perth and Kinross Schools through the representation of parents, the building of home/school partnerships and the involvement of parents supporting their child's learning at home.

If you want to become more involved in your child's education contact their school for more information.
