Schools - development projects

Alongside the creation of six new campuses through the Investment in Learning Programme, additional capital resources are to be made available for a number of other important projects:
• New primary schools at
Dunning, Errol, Invergowrie and Crieff;
• A new school for pupils with additional support needs (ASN) on a site between Perth Academy and Viewlands Primary, to be named
Fairview School. New ASN residences will be formed. Funding has also been identified to provide ASN support facilities at Blairgowrie High and Perth Academy. It is intended that further ASN support facilities will be provided in future years at Perth Grammar School, Perth High School and Pitlochry High School;
• Upgrade works at Portmoak Primary School, Dunbarney Primary School, Blairgowrie High School, Perth High School and a number of libraries. Additional classroom accommodation will also be provided at Kirkmichael Primary School and Murthly Primary School;
• Relocation of the Music Centre, currently at Caledonian Road Primary School; and
• A replacement residential facility for Children's Services.
