Investment in Learning - Programme Timetable
With Financial Close reached, the Investment in Learning Programme now moves on to the construction phase.
Over the next three years, Laing O'Rourke will undertake the building works on the six new learning campuses as part of Axiom Education, the consortium chosen by the Council as its partners for the multi-million pound project. Planning permission for all sites is in place.
Construction of the new campuses will be undertaken on a phased timetable, with start dates on site as follows:
Blairgowrie Community Campus, Blairgowrie (joint campus: St Stephen's RC Primary School and Newhill Primary and Nursery)
Start date on site: 21/01/2008
Campus operational date: 13/07/2009
Breadalbane Community Campus, Aberfeldy (Breadalbane Academy - nursery, primary and secondary)
Start date on site: 22/10/2007
Campus operational date: 13/12/2010 (with works on sports provision completed by 29/07/2011 - grass pitch expected ready for use January 2013)
Glenearn Community Campus, Perth (Inch View Nursery and Primary School)
Start date on site: 07/01/2008
Campus operational date: 05/10/2009
Loch Leven Community Campus, Kinross (Kinross High School)
Start date on site: 11/02/2008
Campus operational date: 26/10/2009
North Inch Community Campus, Perth (St John's Academy - nursery, primary and secondary)
Start date on site: 04/02/2008
Campus operational date: (Secondary) 29/03/2010; (Primary) 31/10/2011
Strathearn Community Campus, Crieff (Crieff High School)
Start date on site: 11/02/2008
Campus operational date: 09/11/2009 (with other works including sports provision fully completed by 21/11/2011)
