School Clothing Grants
Application forms for free school meals and assistance with
school clothing/footwear are now available for school session
2011/2012 commencing 15 August 2011. Forms
and guidance notes are available online, from all Perth
& Kinross schools and Pullar House reception.
Please note that evidence from Jobcentre Plus must be dated after 1
July 2011. Award notices from HM Revenue and Customs (TC602)
must be valid for tax year 2011/2012.
Any approved awards for assistance with school clothing/footwear
will not be paid out until towards the end of July.
Who is eligible for a clothing grant ?
If you recieve Support, Income Related Employment and
Support Allowance or Income- Based Jobseekers Allowance,
and your child is under the age of sixteen and attends a primary or
secondary school within Perth and Kinross, you may be eligible.
Education & Children's Services will consider one application
per year for a grant towards the cost of purchasing essential
clothing to enable children, up to the age of 16, to attend
school.
