Improvements and Modernisation
Perth & Kinross Council is committed to ensuring that all our houses meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard by 2015. We will do this through the local Standard Delivery Plan which sets out how we will achieve the SHQS locally.
We try to make sure that all our houses are improved to a similar standard, but various types of improvement projects are undertaken depending on the condition and design of the houses concerned.
In most cases we do the work while you continue to live in your home. We will do our best to cause as little inconvenience to you as possible while work is ongoing, but inevitably improvement work causes a disturbance. Recognising this we have a standard scale of disturbance allowances which are paid when improvement or modernisation contracts have been completed.
