Applying for Council Housing
If you want to apply for housing with the Council, Perthshire
Housing Association or Hillcrest Housing,
please complete an application form for the Common Housing Register
[PDF: 4.4MB]. You can submit this electronically by attaching
it to an email and sending it as an attachment to housingallocation@pkc.gov.uk
The form is also available from any Council
area housing office, Perthshire Housing
Association or Hillcrest Housing
Association.
The Common Housing Register is part of a partnership arrangement
between the Council, PHA and Hillcrest Housing Association. This
means that you only have to fill in one application form to be
considered for housing with any of the partner organisation. Your
application is then assessed based on a
Common Allocations Policy [PDF: 360Kb].
Anyone aged 16 years or over is entitled to apply to the Common
Housing Register. However, the right to apply is not the same
as the right to be offered accommodation as we can only offer
vacancies to people in the greatest housing need.
A full copy of the Common Allocations Policy is available to
download from the right-hand side of the page. You can also
download a copy of our Summary Leaflet, which gives you all the
information on the new policy that you need to know.
