Welcome to Perth and Kinross Info
Perth and Kinross Info is a new service that uses text messages
to send relevant, up to date information to the people of Perth and
Kinross about services and events that directly impact on
them.
The information service could prove especially invaluable during
spells of severe weather. Perth and Kinross Info will provide
updated news on what services are disrupted, such as school
closures and refuse collection arrangements.
You can choose to receive information on a variety of different
topics of interest to you, including youth, family and adult
learning opportunities, information about local services and
community events, and services for Council tenants.
The service is completely free and you can opt out at any time by
texting 4QL6BSTOP to 60777.
Greener Communications
By choosing to sign up for this service, you can receive
relevant information about Council events and services without any
cost to the environment. Electronic methods of communication are
much cheaper and quicker than traditional postal methods, and
people opting to receive information and publications in this way
can also help to save money on printing and postage.
You can control the amount of information you receive by telling us
what topics you are interested in. You can also tell us whether you
would like information from other community groups or partner
agencies.

To sign up to the text messaging service please send a text
message to 60777 using the phone you wish to sign up for the
service. Start the message with 4QL6B and send your postcode
to allow us to filter events and information relevant to where you
live. This text message will be charged at your standard network
rate, all messages you receive from PK Info will be free.
