Anti-Social Behaviour
Anti-Social Behaviour affects every part of our society and unchallenged, it can threaten the culture and fabric of society as well as the safety of individuals and communities.
The Scottish Executive has recognised the need to provide funding to Local Authorities to address such conduct. In Perth and Kinross this money is used by the Community Safety and Planning Partnership to address Anti-Social Behaviour in communities.

What is Anti-Social Behaviour?
Anti-Social Behaviour is not necessarily a crime but can be closely associated with criminal activities. It covers any behaviour which adversely affects anyone's quality of life or is likely to cause alarm or distress.
Anyone can be a victim of Anti-Social Behaviour and the degree to which they are affected can vary according to an individual's perception. It can occur anywhere but it tends to be more common in deprived communities.
Anti-Social Behaviour can result in poor quality of life for residents. It makes people feel neglected and powerless and, if it's not addressed, it can destroy the spirit and pride of communities.
Persistent, long-term Anti-Social conduct has the greatest impact on our lives.
Affected areas soon show signs of degradation and neglect as neighbours begin to move away. Businesses may begin to close, with all kinds of financial and other implications.
Where anti social behaviour is prevalent there is likely to be an increase in crime.
In many ways, everyone is touched by the consequences of Anti-Social Behaviour.
