Housing Associations

Housing Associations (or Co-operatives), registered with Communities Scotland, are formally referred to as Registered Social Landlords.  Several Housing Associations  have housing for rent or shared ownership in the Perthshire area.

Housing Associations are generally non-profit organisations, and some have charitable status. They receive grants from Communities Scotland towards the cost of building new affordable homes.   

Some of the Housing Associations in Perthshire offer various types of accommodation for rent. 

A large proportion of the housing stock offered by the Perthshire, Hillcrest and Kingdom bodies is suitable for applicants with general needs. 

Other Associations tend to specialise in Sheltered or Adapted Housing for older people or people with disabilities.
