Care & Repair offers independent advice and assistance to help older or disabled home owners and private tenants to repair, adapt or improve their homes.
The project can help with repairs and improvements such as;
- Roof Repairs
- Timber Treatment
- Re-wiring
- Lead Pipes
- Dry Rot
- Defective Windows/Doors
The project can also help with disabled adaptations to the house to suit the individual occupant's needs.
- Level access shower
- Ramp
- Stairlift
- Kitchen adaptation
Care & repair can help you;
- Identify what repairs and improvements are needed
- Organise surveys and drawings
- Obtain prices for work
- Liaise with other agencies on your behalf
- Apply for grants
- Apply for loans or other funding
- Organise the works
- Approach other agencies who may be able to help you
Although Care & Repair offers a free service in assisting with grant applications, the final decision in approving or refusing the grant is at the discretion of Perth & Kinross Council. If you start work before application is approved, the Council will not be able to give you the grant.
