Skillseekers Training with Perth & Kinross Council
The majority of young people enter the Council's supported training as Non-Employed Trainees to gain relevant training and experience prior to being interviewed for salaried employment. Over 95% of those starting their training with us move into employment or full-time education. The initial Skillseeker Training Allowance of £75.00 per week increases to a minimum of £10,938 per annum or over £210 per week as a salaried young person within the Council and you will continue to access all the training for the VQ and Skillseekers Plus.
Perth and Kinross Council Skillseeker Trainees have access to both the Council's External Vacancy List and the Council's Internal Vacancy List.
Additional Training: To supplement the VQ, we have designed a programme of in-house courses covering a range of subjects including Office & Fire Safety, Putting People First, Teambuilding, Job-Search Techniques and Interviewee Skills.
European Computer Driving Licence: This is a recognised qualification which includes training and assessment in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, internet & email, basic concepts of IT and managing files which may be offered to Trainees.
