Policy Review - Licensed Hours for Premises Providing Late Night Entertainment (Nightclub)
Perth and Kinross Licensing Board is reviewing its policy on
licensed hours for premises providing late night entertainment
(nightclubs). The review of licensed hours relates to the terminal
hour (latest time for the service of alcohol) on Friday and
Saturday nights. This review relates to nightclubs only, not pubs
or those premises with function areas.
An experiment commenced on 1 June 2010 when the Board permitted
nightclubs licensed hours on Friday and Saturday nights until 3am
(technically early Saturday and Sunday mornings). The experiment
continues until the Board completes this review. The Board is now
consulting on either making this experiment permanent policy or
reverting to the original licensed hours.
The consultation takes place between 24 January and 4 March 2011.
Comments must be submitted by 4 March 2011 at the latest.
