Planning

There is a range of advice and guidance to help you make a planning application, comment on a local plan. In addition you can view details of plans, guidance, and request other services.

We aim to improve the appearance and prosperity of Perth and Kinross and the social well-being of its people.

We do this by shaping the future of our towns, villages and countryside and by protecting and enhancing their qualities through: working in partnership with local communities to plan and deliver initiatives; developing planning policies and promoting sustainable development; improving standards of design quality and access; and designing out crime in accordance with the policy framework.

Modernising the planning system

Please note that some important changes to the planning application process were introduced on 3 August 2009 by the Planning (Scotland) Act 2006.

Viewing and commenting on planning applications

Find out more about planning applications and buidling warrants online. As a result of new planning regulations from 3 August, the suffixes for planning application reference numbers are being changed to reflect the new application types. These new suffixes will be applied to new applications from 3 August and to any pre-existing undetermined applications.
