Can I obtain a copy of my building warrant and certificate of
completion?
For building warrants applied for under the 1959 Act
(prior to 1May 2005) a public register is maintained by the
Council which details the dates of issue of building warrants and
certificates of completion. This register can be viewed free of
charge by the public at any reasonable hour by an interested
party.
For building warrants applied for under the 2003 Act (post 1 May
2005) the details are held electronically on the Building Standards
Register. This register can be accessed through the Public Access
system which is maintained by the Council.
If however you have misplaced your original documentation then a
copy can be purchased as detailed below. We can supply information
dating back 25 years.
Can I obtain a copy of my plans?
In general it is feasible to purchase, as detailed
below, copies of approved plans. There are however some
conditions which have to be met. You should contact Mrs
Wilson on 01738 475335 for more details.
You should always make a prior appointment before calling at the
office if you wish to take advantage of this service.
