Errol Placecheck
We piloted a 'Placecheck' event over two weekends during
2007 in Errol. As many members of the community as possible
were encouraged to engage with officers from The Environment
Service to identify issues and priorities for their public spaces
ranging from the High Street to public park and countryside walks
to village entrances.
Despite the weather there was a great turnout and staff and members
of the community did a village walkabout in different groups
followed by workshops to prioritise short, medium and long term
actions. It has been very beneficial for all involved to have
the opportunity to meet and discuss issues face to face and work
together to try and find solutions.
The items identified and prioritised by the community have now been
completed.
Evaluation survey
In May 2009 we sent an
evaluation questionnaire [pdf
82KB] to residents of Errol. It was great to
hear what residents thought of Placecheck from the
survey results[pdf 83KB].
