Guided Walks and Events
Join the Countryside Rangers on an guided walk or an event this year!
We have reached the end of our programmed list of activities and events for 2008 and are busy programming activities for 2009! The winter period is still an excellent time to get out and explore areas of the County and there are lots a well surfaced and signed tracks and paths for your to explore. More details of these can be found on our Walks and Paths to Explore pages.
Although the Ranger Service do not have programmed events running over the winter months, we are still available for bookings to do talks to groups or lead guided walks for groups, so please feel free to get in touch and see if one of the team would be available to come and visit your group. If you would like to book a Ranger, please use our booking form (PDF, 100kb).
There are still events happening in the outdoors of Perth and Kinross and you can find out about these in the Highland Whats On diary of events.

Guided Walks - Conditions
Please try to arrive at your walk on time and be prepared to leave at the time stated in the programme.
If a walk is stated as BOOKING RECOMMENDED, we advise that you call the booking number to note your interest, however, the walk will definitely be going ahead.
If a walk is stated as BOOKING ESSENTIAL, it is essential that you book; numbers may be restricted for safety reasons or transport reasons and if there are low numbers the walk will be canceled (if you have booked, you will be informed prior to the event). Guided walks may also be cancelled if the weather forecast is very bad.
Some events are a DROP IN SESSION. This means that you can come along anytime and meet one of the team! The Countryside Ranger Service run a number of guided walks and events over the course of the year. Information on these events can either be found on this website, or by picking up a leaflet in Tourist Information Centres.
