Den of Alyth Management Plan
The Den of Alyth The Den of Alyth is a wooded gorge of some 23ha which is managed for Conservation and Recreation by Perth & Kinross Council. The Environment Service and specifically the Countryside Section of the Service have immediate responsibility for the site.

Management Plans
The Countryside Section produce 5 yearly management plans for each of the sites that they manage. These management plans summerise the current condition of the site and detail the strategic ambitions for the site - the objectives for the longer term (10+ years) management, and detail the short term (5 years) management in a perscriptive part of the plan.
The Den of Alyth Management Plan has been written in draft format, with proposals for the changes, developments, improvements and general management for the site outlined.

Strategic Environmental Assessment
All Plans, Policies and Programmes published by Perth and Kinross Council must undertake Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). For the Den of Alyth Management Plan, we produced a Screening Report that suggested that the implementation of the plan was unlikely to significanty affect the environment.
