Kinnoull Hill Management Committee
Last updated | 11/03/2008
As a result of the Kinnoull Hill Strategic Management Plan, which was published in 2005, the management of the new park is to be guided by a committee, made up of the main partners involved in the running of the Woodland Park.
- Forestry Commission Scotland
- Perth and Kinross Council
- The Kinnoull Hill Users Group
- The Gannochy Trust
- St Mary's Monastery
This management group will meet 4 times a year to ensure that the management of each partners land is in line with the guiding principles of the Strategic Management Plan, and to make sure that the best is made of the collective resources that the Committee have. The Group will also act as a point of advice for the future management of the Hill.
It is thought that this is the first time that an arrangement like this has been used to manage a site for the benefit of the local people and wildlife.
Members of the public are encouraged to have their say in the running of the park; please feel free to contact the Niall Lobley, Senior Ranger at Perth and Kinross Council should you wish to find out more. Alternatively, you can join the Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park Users Group - the forum dedicated to ensuring that the views of the Users of the Park are taken into consideration in the running of the Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park.
