PKCT has an excellent track record for improving both physical and intellectual access to the stunning countryside known as Big Tree Country. We help local people and visitors to enjoy the countryside by supporting initiatives that improve access for walkers, cyclists and horse riders of all ages and abilities.
We work with landowners and farmers and support projects that involve local communities in caring for and enjoying the outdoors.
Our work includes increasing numbers of new and improved pathways – many accessible to all; support for development of cycle routes; grant aid to communities; an education initiative helping children to enjoy their local environment; and the management of a unique long distance route, the Cateran Trail.
