New Acoustics noise reports

Last updated | 10/02/2012

Why did you commission the New Acoustics to review the environmental statements?

We are required by NPPG 6 to make positive provision for renewable energy developments. However we are also required to ensure that the environment is protected. The impact of noise on people is a central consideration to be taken into account when we make a decision on any particular windfarm development.

What is being reviewed?

The New Acoustics reports review the submitted Environmental Statements (ES) to determine whether they adequately address the issues.  They also identify what additional work may need to be undertaken by the applicant to address any shortcomings and confirm the conclusions of the ES.
