Kindallachan brief
What site does the brief cover?
The Brief covers 5 sites within the Kindallachan settlement
boundary, as set out in map 34 of the Highland Area Local Plan 2000.
What does the brief do?
This Brief seeks to supplement the development framework
contained in the Adopted Highland Area Local Plan 2000, it
examines the development potential of the 5 sites
considered. The Brief provides additional guidance on the
design, use and layout of the appropriate sites.
When will the brief be used?
The purpose of this development guidance is to identify the
relevant issues applicable to the development of these sites and to
establish a framework within which detailed design options can be
prepared and considered as required by the Local Plan.
What if the proposal does not accord with the brief?
Developers whose proposals do not accord with the guidance set
out in the brief must be prepared to demonstrate that they will
achieve a better design solution more in keeping with the character
of the area.
