Crieff retail report SEA
What is screening?
As part of the process we have to consult SNH, SEPA and Historic
Scotland on whether the plan, programme or strategy is likely to
raise issues of significant environmental
impact. Schedule 1 of the Environmental Assessment
(Scotland) Regulations 2004 sets out criteria for determining the
likely significant effects on the environment. We send 'screening
reports' to the consultation authorities to determine whether
the plan, programme or strategy is likely to have significant
effects on the environment.
Have you submitted a screening report to the SEA Gateway?
We sent our screening report on the Crieff retail report to
the SEA Gateway on 15 August 2008. You can read the screening
report by going to the download section on this page.
What did the consultation authorities say?
You can read the replies from each of the
consultation authorities on the screening report by using the
download section on this page.
Have you decided whether SEA is required?
Taking account of our view that SEA is not required and the
comments made by the consultation authorities we have 'determined' that an SEA is required. We
have sent a letter to the Scottish Government's SEA Gateway
advising that we will not be undertaking SEA of the
Crieff Retail Report.
