What is Supplementary Guidance?
Supplementary Guidance can cover a variety of issues and is used
to remove a wide range of detailed policy from the Local
Development Plan.

How does the Local Development Plan affect Supplementary
Guidance?
New revised guidance has been produced and referenced
in the Proposed Plan, this was consulted upon at the same time
as the Proposed Plan and therefore will form part of the adopted
Local Development Plan. These documents are:
Existing Supplementary Planning Guidance documents were also
consulted on with the Proposed Plan so
that they can become part of the adopted Local
Development Plan, these documents are:
Policy Guidance
Design Guidance
Development Briefs/Masterplans/Development Frameworks
New Supplementary Guidance which has been specifically
identified in the Proposed Local Development Plan (Appendix 1) [pdf,
22MB] will be prepared and consulted upon as required by
the Development Planning Regulations. These will be formally
adopted by the Council after they have been sent to Scottish
Ministers.
