Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park
A small part of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park
is within our area. Within that area the National Park
Authority has planning powers to decide all planning and related
applications. The Park Authority also prepares and adopts the
Local Plan for the area, to guide its planning
decision-making.

Where can I see the Local Plan?
The Park's Forward Planning team prepare the
National Park Local Plan and supporting
documents which guide planning decisions, making sure that new
development is of the highest quality, is promoted in the right
places and delivers the aspirations and aims of the National
Park.
Who makes the decisions on planning applications and
policy?
The Park's
Planning & Access Committee meet
once a month to discuss and make decisions on planning applications
and planning policy issues. All meetings are open to the
public to attend.
