Getting help
Can I get help in making comments on an application?
As an applicant, appellant, or objector you may need help from a variety of sources. Local people and organisations may offer you willing amateur assistance, but professional support may be useful too.
For help from professional planners, you should turn to the register of planning consultants produced by the Royal Town Planning Institute. Fees are usually payable for this service.
For low-cost or free assistance, contact should be made with the large group of professional planners who offer voluntary assistance to members of the public through Planning Aid for Scotland.
Planning Aid for Scotland is a voluntary organisation run by qualified and experienced planners, giving information and advice on all aspects of town and country planning and related issues.
Planning Aid Scotland can help individuals, Community Councils, Tenants' Associations and voluntary local groups who cannot afford to pay for private consultants.
