What is Pre-Application Consultation?
While pre-application consultation advice is a discretionary activity, we value it. However, our response may depend on the nature of the enquiry, the type of development and its location. We will try to give you advice appropriate to the circumstances. We have prepared a leaflet which gives you more information and you are advised to read it before writing to us.
What do I need to do?
If you think you might need planning permission for a particular development read
the leaflet and then write to us using one of the forms available form the download section on this page. We will then let you know whether planning permission is needed. When you write to us it is helpful to provide a drawing of what you are proposing and map showing where it is. We will the write to you letting you whether you need planning permission.
