Stanley consultation
Why are we undertaking further consultation in Stanley?
We are currently reviewing the Perth Area Local Plan and published a Draft Plan in December 2004. The Draft Plan did not identify any additional housing land in Stanley above the sites already identified in the current Plan, although the housing numbers have increased from 80 to 110.
Revised population projections, which are roughly 3% above the figures used in the Draft Plan, mean that we need to identify additional housing sites in the Perth area.
The Strathord Consortium put forward proposals to be considered as part of the Local Plan process for the expansion of Stanley. These proposals together with the 110 in the Draft Plan would provide a total of 315 houses on various sites in Stanley to be developed before 2020 to meet part of the housing requirement.
The purpose of this consultation is to seek the Community's views on the future growth of Stanley and the adequacy of community facilities.
When is the deadline for responses?
The consultation period ended on 1 August 2007.
What will happen next?
All the comments received will be taken into account in preparing the Finalised Perth Area Local Plan.
Will we have another opportunity to comment?
Once the Finalised Plan is published you will still have an opportunity to object. The procedure for doing this will be explained at the time of the publication of the Plan.
