What is the employment land audit?
We prepare an annual audit of employment land in Perth & Kinross. The audit highlights all the land identified for business and industrial use within our local plans. The audit gives you information on how much land there is available, where it is and whether it is available for development.

The information is of interest to Companies, Developers and other Organisations with a requirement for, or an interest in, employment land in Perth and Kinross.

The survey was undertaken in September 2005.

What is the information used for?
We prepare an annual audit of employment land in Perth & Kinross. The audit highlights all the land identified for business and industrial use within our local plans. The audit gives you information on how much land there is available, where it is and whether it is available for development.
The audit also helps us monitor the the success of our policies and proposals included in the Perth & Kinross Structure Plan , approved by Scottish Ministers in June 2003, as well as Local Plans. The Structure Plan seeks to ensure that a 5 year supply of marketable land, in each category (business and industrial), is available and maintained at all times.
The audit gives details of the land supply in each of the Local Plan Areas and the main towns and villages throughout Perth and Kinross.
