Development management contacts
The processing of planning applications and regulation of
development is carried out by Development Management. These
activities are carried out by Development Management
Administration, an Enforcement Team and three teams which
deal with planning applications and related matters and which are
organised according to the category of development.
What does Development Management Administration do?
This team deals with
- Administration of the planning application
process
- Handling fees
- Issing decision notices
- Preparing the weekly list of applications received
What does the Enforcement Team do?
This team deals with complaints if someone has breached
planning regulations and the monitoring of compliance with
conditions attached to planning consents.
What do the other teams do?
The planning officers are split on a non-geographical basis into
three teams which deal respectively with the processing and
determination of:
- Major applications
- Local applications
- Householder applications
The three teams also provide advice on the need for planning
permission and what policies and key planning issues would be
applicable to a specific development proposal.
