Household Recycling
Over 40% of the waste collected in Perth and
Kinross through the kerbside recycling services and at Recycling
Centres and Points is now reused, recycled or
composted.
The majority of households in Perth and Kinross now receive a
kerbside recycling service that allows them to recycle paper,
cans, cardboard and plastic bottles in their blue lidded bin and
food and garden waste in their brown lidded bin. To see if your
household is on this service please see the
Kerbside recycling collection pages.
Other ways to recycle
For householders who are not currently on the
kerbside recycling service we also encourage the use of local
Recycling Centres and Points. These facilities also offer all
householders the opportunity to recycle materials that are not
collected at the kerbside, such as glass and textiles.
